Skål began in 1932 following a pioneering flight between Paris and Stockholm, where travel professionals formed lasting friendships that inspired something greater. Recognizing the value of global connection, they created an organization dedicated to goodwill, collaboration, and the advancement of travel and tourism.
From its origins in Paris, Skål quickly expanded into an international organization and later into North America, where it helped shape a strong network of clubs and national committees.
Skål International has brought together leaders from every sector of the travel and hospitality industry under one guiding principle; “Doing Business Among Friends.”
Skål Orlando was chartered in 1972, during the early years of Orlando’s emergence as a global tourism destination following the opening of Walt Disney World. Since that time our club has played an important role in connecting leaders across Central Florida’s tourism industry.
Today Skål International connects thousands of tourism professionals in hundreds of clubs across the world. This global network creates opportunities for collaboration, professional growth, and lasting friendships among leaders in tourism.
